For the 2nd project co-ordinated by Ruthin Craft Centre and CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) I co-led art workshops at the Royal Alex Hospital with prolific painter and ceramic artist, Sara Jane Harper. In a series of sessions at the hospital we worked around the theme of "Making Connections" finding similiarities between our artistic practises, and with the young people with who we worked. We began by creating abstract languages through symbols and overlapping writing. These experiments in drawing and mark-making formed the basis for printed textiles and ceramic pieces, both collaborative and individually crafted by the workshop participants. It was a wonderful project, which ended in an exhibition and celebratory workshop at Ruthin Craft Centre in July 2017.
