I’m Rhi, a Welsh artist creating colourful worlds from my imagination, and illustrations inspired by life on Planet Earth.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet. Come on in, I’ll make you a virtual brew.
Here you’ll find my illustrations, my studio blog and my online shop.
Thanks for popping by!
Work with me: hello@rhimoxon.com
Illustrator, Printmaker, Teacher, and all round curious (and hyperactive) mind.
I’m an illustrator and printmaker with over 10 years of experience creating colourful, meaningful work. My practice spans everything from bold illustrations for posters and magazines, to running hands-on screen printing workshops, vibrant mural painting to personal projects like my Dragonfly Diaries print series and “Huck Muck” Travel Stamp project.
I studied Illustration and Printmaking, and since then I’ve worked with many wonderful organisations – from mental health charities to cultural festivals – bringing ideas to life through eye-catching designs on paper, textiles and even ceramics. I love the variety of my work: sometimes entirely by hand, other times fully digital. Most of the time I’m a quiet introvert, but give me a room of 100 people and I’ll happily share my passion for printmaking!
At its heart, my work is about sparking joy, connection, and a sense of wonder.
When I’m not drawing or in the print studio, you can find me travelling, learning languages, eating pickles or burning off ADHD energy with movement and good music.
Want to stay in the loop?
My newsletter is the best place to hear from me first – with behind-the-scenes peeks into my process and sketchbooks, news about upcoming print drops, events and exhibitions, plus early access to printmaking workshops.
I absolutely adore getting my hands inky!
My printmaking practice is rooted in storytelling, memory, and curiosity about the world around me.
I’m drawn to processes like screenprinting, risograph and woodcut because they let me build images in layers, with colours overlapping, blending, and sometimes obscuring one another – much like the way we experience memories, language and journeys.
My prints often explore themes of wonder and resilience, from dragonflies skimming across water to the magic of Welsh night skies or the vibrancy of children flying kites.
